This winner will compete in a three-way battle with the runner-up in each category and will advance to a third place in the competition for a grant to the National Art Gallery of America's Annual Art Show, sponsored by the District of Kiwans Foundation in Georgia. In addition, the first place winner can participate in the International Art Competition in New York City and then compete on the international stage in Atlanta.
Participating students and their families, as well as their parents, visited the art gallery and learned about the winners, who were selected early in the morning by local art experts. I did a great job as Master of Ceremonies and shared some interesting facts about our students, the Kiwans.
