Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents “Ain’t Misbehavin’” – one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals – February 17 to March 4 at The Strand Theatre in Marietta.
“Ain’t Misbehavin’” is a Tony Award-winning revue that pays tribute to the life and music of Thomas “Fats” Waller. This fun-filled musical brings the audience into a world filled with rent parties, stride piano players, honky-tonk dives along Harlem’s Lenox Avenue, and the birth of swing music.
“Ain’t Misbehavin’” includes 30 songs, all presented with the zest for life and cheeky humor Waller was known for. Directed by Atlanta Lyric Theatre Artistic Director Brandt Blocker and choreographed by Ricardo Aponte, “Ain’t Misbehavin’” stars celebrated recording artist D. Woods and contemporary gospel recording artist Eric Moore.
